  • March 2002: Trinity's Social Ministry Committee is making quilts for Lutheran World Relief to deliver to people around the world. On a recent Cabin Fever Quilt day, members made five complete quilts, with many more under way.

  • Spring 2002: Trinity Lutheran Church members are helping with Habitat for Humanity projects in western Cumberland County, one more way the congregation connects with its communities.

  • January 2002: Trinity church has sponsored its second Bosnian refugee family. A young family has arrived in the United States and been resettled into a Mechanicsburg-area apartment furnished by congregational members (the photos below show members and friends of the congregation preparing the apartment). In 2000, the congregation also sponsored a Bosnian family. This followed several sponsorships over the past few decades.

  • January 2002: Trinity's Youth Group members recently created baskets for those served by United Methodist Home for Children, Mechanicsburg, just one more way the congregation maintains ties with its community.
